Micro Update: Nov 25
Today’s word is fusillade.
I was asked yesterday whether it was possible to comment on this blog. My response was basically "No, but...".
Like I said in my intro, part of why I chose BearBlog was to move away from blogging-as-social media. When I used Tumblr briefly a couple of years back, my time on there usually devolved into reposting a random selection of whatever appeared on my feed that day, never truly interacting with anyone else, and then making a super short & shitty text post that nobody else interacted with, either. My time spent on Twitter (now Bluesky) was already devoted to much of the same, and so Tumblr just became this totally superfluous slop ground for me.
Bluesky is meant to be my slopping ground; this blog is where I try to sound smart!
Anyway, to answer the question originally posed, I've decided to use Flopslandia in close tandem with my Bluesky going forward. Whenever I post to my blog, I'll advertise it there. Similarly, at the end of every blog post,1 I'll provide a return link to Bluesky so that readers may leave their thoughts. Like so:
